Anti-theft Alarm Triggers Unexpectedly
MODEL
F01, F02 and F04 (7 Series)
F07 (5 Series Gran Turismo)
SITUATION
The anti-theft alarm triggers for no apparent reason. Fault codes 801A3A and/or 801A51 may be stored in the FZD3 (Roof function center) control
module.
CAUSE
Watchdog reset fault in the FZD3 software
CORRECTION
Program the vehicle using ISTA/P 2.37.0 or later.
Note that ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software.
